Inspiring PR and Social Media Specialist
Projects
Like seeds growing into strong trees, these projects show how small beginnings can lead to great outcomes. Whether you seek inspiration, collaboration, or just a look at what's possible, you've come to the right place.
I worked with a team of 10 on Purdue University's first lifestyle show, Life on the Wabash, producing a 30-minute episode that airs biweekly on Saturdays on NBC16. As the PR manager, my responsibility was to secure guest speakers. I successfully arranged an interview with the extremely famous Boilermaker family, the Colvins. Raven Colvin, a standout on the women's volleyball team, and Myles Colvin, a star on the basketball team, shared insights about their newly published children's books. Additionally, I was in charge of producing one of the eight episodes (episode 5) and managed the show's social media for three months.

- Weekly Content: As a Student Communication Specialist, I proposed and created a weekly content that included:
-
#WednesdayWisdom: defining key terms.
-
#ThursdayThree: summarizing main discussion posts.
-
#FridayRecap: highlighting the week's events.
This weekly content helps the organization's Instagram gain 3,000 % engagement numbers, especially with the younger demographic.
Writing examples
- Organizational announcement: This is an assignment from one of my communication classes at Brian Lamb School of Communication, Purdue University. My task is to write about an promotion announcement under executive's perspective.
- Memorandum: This is an assignment from one of my communication classes at Brian Lamb School of Communication, Purdue University. My task is to write a memorandum that includes a media kit of an event/ product launch from a company/ organization that I chose.
For this media kit assignment, I chose to develop a media kit for Cong Caphe - an innovative Vietnam-based franchise bringing traditional Vietnamese coffee and snacks. As an international student who was born in Vietnam, I created a concise news release, fact sheet, bio, and media advisory highlighting essential details about this brand that blend cultural authenticity with artistic flair. The goal was to showcase a unique franchise concept that niche publishers covering food and business trends in the States, specifically San Francisco may find compelling. Creating targeted materials for an original brand concept allowed me to blend my Vietnamese background with standard media kit practice for potential international outlets.
